Greater Exodus
The subject of The Greater Exodus is one not many have heard of before. There are a growing number of individuals who are feeling unsatisfied with the spiritual instruction they have received throughout their lives and are “waking up” to the idea that there is more to the scriptures than they realize, in particular the books of Moses. Once a person starts to understand the instructions of Moses and how they apply to us, they quickly begin to realize that the rapture will not be taking place at the beginning of the tribulation but at the end when God cleanses the earth on which he will establishes his kingdom. The Bible never talks about a pre-tribulation rapture and events expected to take place during the final days will be a reflection of the events that happened to the children of Israel during the exodus from Egypt. The following passages are only a few examples where he topic of the Greater Exodus is discussed.

“For, brothers, I don’t want you to miss the significance of what happened to our fathers. All of them were guided by the pillar of cloud, and they all passed through the sea, and in connection with the cloud and with the sea they all immersed themselves into Moses, and also they all ate the same food from the Spirit, and they all drank the same drink from the Spirit – for they drank from a Spirit-sent Rock which followed them, and that Rock was the Messiah…These things happened to them as prefigurative historical events, and they were written down as a warning to us who are living in the end of times.” 1 Corinthians 10:1-5…10:11-13
“’Therefore,’ says Adonai, ‘the days will come when people will no longer swear, “As Adonai lives, who brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt,” but, “As Adonai lives, who brought the people of Israel out of the land to the north and out of all the countries where he drove them”; for I will bring them back to their own land, which I gave to their ancestors.’” Jeremiah 16:14-15
"'As I live,' says Adonai Elohim, 'I swear that surely with a mighty hand, with a stretched-out arm and with poured-out fury I myself will be king over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you were scattered, with a mighty hand, with a stretched-out arm and with poured-out fury; then I will bring you into the desert of the peoples and judge you face to face. Just like I judged your ancestors in the desert of the land of Egypt, so will I judge you.' says Adonai Elohim. Ezekiel 20:33-36
Notice how these passages refers to a group that has been "scattered?" It is clear that these passages are not referring to the children of Israel when they were in slaves in Egypt because they were not scattered. They are speaking about a future generation who will be gathered and lead back to the Promise Land from all the nations of the earth. Many believers are beginning to realize many events taking place in the world today are fulfilling biblical prophecies and are beginning to look for guidance and instruction from the teachings of Moses during the original exodus. As we continue to watch these events unfold, it is clear that the Day of the Lord is near.
Many individuals completely dismiss any ideas about when to expect the Messiah's second coming because they claim, "No one knows the day or the hour of His return and it will come like a thief in the night." What they don't realize is that the term "thief in the night" is not referring to an unexpected intruder. It is warning us to stay alert and prepare so that we will not be taken off guard when the thief arrives. Lets take a moment to examine what the scriptures say regarding the thief.

"But you have no need to have anything written to you, brothers, about the times and dates when this will happen; because you yourselves well know that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. When people are saying, "Everything is so peaceful and secure," then destruction will suddenly come upon them, the way labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and there is no way they will escape. But you, brothers, are not in the dark, so that the Day should take you by surprise like a thief; for you are all people who belong to the light, who belong to the day. We don't belong to the night or to darkness, so let's not be asleep, like the rest are; on the contrary, let us stay alert and sober."
1 Thessalonians 5:1-6
Notice how Paul states it will come as a thief only to those in the dark and will be as sudden as the labor pains of a pregnant woman. However, for those who are in the light, they are to remain alert and sober so that they are prepared for the events that will soon transpire. Luke 12:35-38 says,
"Be dressed for action and have your lamps lit, like people waiting for their master's return after a wedding feast; so that when he comes and knocks, they will open the door for him without delay. Happy the slaves whom the master finds alert when he comes! Yes! I tell you he will put on his work clothes, seat them at the table, and come serve them himself! Whether it is late at night or early in the morning, if this is how he finds them, those slaves are happy."
Mark 13:34-37 also speaks about being watchful and ready for the Master's return.
"It's like a man who travels away from home, puts his servants in charge, each with his own task, and tell the doorkeeper to stay alert. So stay alert! for you don't know when the owner of the house will come, whether it will be evening, midnight, cockcrow or morning - you don't want him to come suddenly and find you sleeping! And what I say to you, I say to everyone: stay alert!"
More to come soon.
May Adonai bless you and keep you,
